Carers Rights Day 2023 takes place on Thursday 23rd November 2023. This is a national event when unpaid carers are encouraged to learn about their rights and we all work towards ensuring carers get all the support they need.
This Carers Rights Day we’re focusing on supporting people to prepare for the future through the official theme: Caring for Your Future. Hundreds of organisations across the UK hold an event or activity for Carers Rights Day to help people in their community find out about their rights as a carer, and where to go for support.
This year, Unpaid Carers Support will be holding a Carers Future Fair on Wednesday 29th November, which will be an opportunity for a variety of statutory services, local charities and other partners such as employment experts, to offer advice and information to support the future of Southampton’s carers.
There will be information on a wide range of topics important to carers, and an additional wellbeing workshop will also be taking place.
