Do You Care For a Family Member with a Learning Disability?

Are they accessing day services or play schemes? Or perhaps they are in supported living or residential accommodation? Do you rely on planned respite or short breaks?

On Wednesday 20th September, Southampton Mencap Carers Network Meeting will give all carers the opportunity to hear from Council officers directly on their new proposals for improved support for people with Learning Disabilities across the city. Carers are invited to attend to help shape the future of local support for themselves, and their families.

Southampton Mencap is a local charity offering support to anyone affected by a learning disability. The Carer Network meetings are held on a quarterly basis and have been established to provide family carers of people of any age with a learning disability to meet others in similar circumstances.
